This seems accurate to me, and it would therefore seem that you can't actually trust *any* vitamin C serum that isn't specifically shipped at a stable temperature. And as the first commenter said, everything is shipped around on trucks, and is therefore never kept at a stable temperature. At what point in this color scale would the serum be unusable?Wouldn't even a partly oxidized product (perhaps something that started clear and became yellow) also be harmful? This implies that there's a gradient of degradation. Generally, people seem to agree that if the serum is dark yellow to dark brown, it is in the process of oxidization. Are there any objective markers that can be discerned without knowledge of the serum's baseline state? But this is unhelpful as I've never seen or smelled this serum before. Sources say that if the color or scent of the serum has changed, it has oxidized. But there are *so* many, that I'm unsure what information actually applies to my situation.
