Could using istat menus have caused this? Thanks in advance! There was no error message or anything, the game just froze for 30 seconds or so then the screen went black and the computer turned on again. The computer randomly restarted mid-game. However, something happened that has never happened before.

When I was playing Roblox again today, the computer felt hot to the touch and the fans were blowing at full speed (nothing unusual when under high loads). (fan speed seems to operate at appropriate speed for the task I am performing on my device) However, one thing did happen just today. Is it possible that this program might have somehow changed the smc settings? While I have not noticed anything to far outside of the ordinary. (I know this is incredibly excessive) However, this leads me to my main question. However, I was still paranoid that the program might of somehow changed the default smc settings so I decided to reinstall the OS. I only used this program to monitor the temps, I did not use it to change any of the fan speeds. So I decided to download a program called istat menus. Okay so yesterday I was playing Roblox and I noticed that my computer was fairly hot.
